Statement for the Master of Business Administration Degree
The mission of the Master of Business Administration degree
at Mississippi College is to provide a broad-based, rigorous
curriculum that develops competency in general management
skills and in the key functional areas of business.
Designed primarily for working professionals who desire to
further their careers and seek greater decision making responsibilities,
the MBA curriculum prepares a management generalist that views
the organization needs from the broadest possible perspective
and is competent in understanding and integrating the core
business disciplines: accounting, finance, marketing, organizational
behavior, economics and statistic.
In
order to prepare outstanding business generalist, the curriculum
features an integrated core that emphasizes cross-functional
learning, the development of strong skills for written and
oral communication, an understanding of global perspectives,
applied problem solving, and an awareness of ethical issues.
