Mission Statement for the Marketing Major
The
purpose of the marketing curriculum is to prepare the marketing
major for an entry level position in a wide variety of profit,
non-profit, and service organizations. The curriculum should
provide the marketing major with the basic knowledge of the
marketing concept and its relationship to segmentation strategy,
Product Strategy, Promotional Strategy, Price Strategy and
Place Strategy, and the way in which these elements combine
to create customer satisfaction. Graduates should strongly
believe that ethical and socially responsible business practice
is necessary.
