Admission procedure:
- Apply online (www.graduate.mc.edu)
- Pay application fee ($30; cash, check or money order by mail)
- Submit all official transcripts including both undergraduate and graduate
-You should have one year work experience in the healthcare field -You should hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the healthcare sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Submit official GRE scores [You should have a combined score of 850 on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE or a score of at least 450 on either section and a score of 2.5 on the GRE General Test Writing Assessment. (If these requirements are not attained after two attempts, applicant may contact the MHSA faculty advisor to determine whether he or she may qualify under an alternate equation that factors in the undergraduate GPA)].
- Must show credit for Accounting Principles I as a prerequisite to HSA 6507 Healthcare Financial Management. [Official substitution for prerequisite is IDS 493 Basic Financial Management for Health Services Administrators].
Requirements to complete the MHSA:
- Must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours of graduate work including the capstone course, HSA 6555 Health Services Administration Seminar.
- Must hold 3.00 GPA to be eligible to apply for graduation.

- HSA 6504 Research Methods and Procedures
- HSA 6507 Healthcare Financial Management
- HSA 6531 Contemporary Issues in Healthcare
- HSA 6550 Legal Aspects of Healthcare Administration
- HSA 6555 Health Services Administration [capstone course, taken after 24 hours]
- HSA 6561 Healthcare Management
- HSA 6571 Healthcare Marketing
- *GBU 6551 Organizational Behavior or HSA 6593 Organizational Behavior for Health Administration
Graduate Electives
(6 semester hours) You may select courses in the fields of Business, Communication, Psychology and Counseling or other related fields in consultation with faculty advisor.
