Earn your Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages certificate
Mississippi College’s Department of Modern Languages focuses primarily on acquainting students with a culture, a language and a literature other than their own; providing language majors with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective communication in a second language; and providing training for those who plan to continue their language study in order to enter professional fields that require a mastery of a second language.
We also recognize, however, that our students aren’t the only ones challenging themselves to learn a second, non-native language. That’s why we’re very proud of the ESL program in Mississippi College’s Department of Modern Languages. Our expertise in teaching students how to master another language translates perfectly into the unique Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages graduate-level certificate program.
Are you a currently certified Mississippi teacher interested in helping your non-native English speaking students? It’s time to learn more.
