Mississippi College nursing graduates are highly recruited. While most graduates remain in the Jackson metropolitan area, many were also initially employed by agencies in surrounding states including Alabama, California, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas. The School of Nursing participates in an annual Career Day in early February in which representatives from more than 20 agencies display and discuss benefits and employment with students.

In 1990, the School of Nursing began recognizing an outstanding alumnae each year. This recognition is based on contribution to the profession of nursing and acknowledges leadership and service across the nursing spectrum.
