Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs provides leadership for all aspects of the academic program. It is vital in accomplishing the mission of the institution and relates in a general way to most of the Institutional Strategic Goals. The institutional goals for which the Office of Academic Affairs has major responsibility for accomplishing are: Academic Excellence; Curriculum (Undergraduate Curriculum and Graduate and Post-Baccalaureate Professional Curricula); Faculty and Staff (Faculty and support staff in academic units); and Special Programs.

Accreditation

Mississippi College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097: Telephone number 404-679-4501) to award bachelors, masters, education specialists degrees and the first professional degree in law. The last accreditation review for Mississippi College was conducted in 2002. In addition to the overall accreditation of Mississippi College as an institution, many programs have additional approval and/or accreditation specific to their needs. Please refer to the Mississippi College Undergraduate Catalog for a list of these programs.
