Academic Computing is a collection of functions and services provided
for Mississippi College students and faculty to assist them in using
the MCnet computers and networks systems. Academic Computing provides
and supports software, hardware and network systems to be used in
classrooms and closed and open computer lab settings.
Academic Computing maintains and supports computer labs and classrooms
for students and faculty of all academic disciplines. Software, novelle
systems and computer hardware are supported and maintained by a staff
of student lab assistants. Lab assistants are on duty during normal
Academic Computing labs hours to provide assistance in using the facilities.
Currently, Academic Computing supports four general purpose computer
labs located in Self Hall. Additional labs and facitlites are planned
in the immediate future.
