The Teacher
Education and Leadership Department is housed in Lowrey Hall, one of the
classic buildings located on the Mississippi College
quad. Lowrey, which once housed the College library, was built in 1914
and has had several additions through the years. The most recent renovation occurred
during the Summer of 2003, when the top two floors were centrally
air-conditioned and all the classrooms and faculty offices were
updated. The first floors,
including administrative offices and classrooms, are scheduled for
renovation during the Summer of 2004.
Technology accessibility has been included in the renovations and
Lowery Hall is poised to begin its second century of service in preparing
teachers and educational leaders.
