Welcome to the Mississippi College English department's homepage! Whether you are a former student wanting a glimpse into your old department or a first-time visitor looking for information, we're excited by your interest. The Department of English at Mississippi College provides opportunities for students to study the best of English, American, and World literature from a Christian perspective. Faculty seek to involve students actively in the learning process by encouraging them to discuss and write about the literature studied in their classes. Likewise in composition classes, students learn to write using personal computers by guided practice in the process of writing. Students who major in English at Mississippi College study under full-time faculty who are experts in their fields and who see their discipline from a Christian world view.
