The Eaves Lectureship

     The Eaves Lectureship was established in 1992 by one of Dr. Eaves's former professors, Dr. Bernerd C. Weber of the University of Alabama. Students and friends of Dr. Eaves may support the lectureship by contributing to its endowment through the Mississippi College Department of History and Political Science.

     Dr. Eaves received his B. S. and M. A. from Mississippi State University, another M. A. from George Peabody College n Nashville, and his Ph. D. from the University of Alabama. He taught at Clarke College, Birmingham Southern, and at Auburn University before becoming the Dean of Arts and Sciences and Professor of History at Mississippi College in 1982. Dr. Eaves is a recognized authority on English History, with numerous articles ad two book to his credit.
