COUNSELING PROGRAMS COORDINATORS

  • Master of Education in School Counseling program

    Dr. Edith Carlisle is the Coordinator for the Master of Education in School Counseling program. Dr. Carlisle has her Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi and her M.Ed. from Mississippi State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a National Certified Counselor, she is an Approved Clinical Supervisor, and she is also a Licensed School Counselor, a Licensed Vocational Counselor, and a Licensed Supervisor by the Department of Education of the State of Mississippi. Dr. Carlisle holds professional memberships in the American Counseling Association, the American School Counselor Association, the American Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the Mississippi Counseling Association, the Mississippi School Counselor Association, the Mississippi Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, the Mississippi Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the Alabama Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota, Theta Sigma Phi Chapter, Phi Delta Kappa, the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, Religious and Value Issues in Counseling, and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. Her primary teaching assignment is to the graduate counseling programs.

  • Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling

    Dr. Katherine H. Jones is the Coordinator of the Master of Counseling Psychology Program with a Specialization in Mental Behavioral Health. She earned her Ph.D. from Mississippi State University. Dr. Jones has 11 years of various clinical experiences in the mental behavioral health field. Dr. Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi and is a National Certified Counselor. She is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and Chi Sigma Iota National Honor Society. Dr. Jones’ research interests lie in gerontological counseling. Her primary teaching assignment is lifespan development.

  • Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling

    Dr. Charles Boudreaux is the coordinator of the Marriage and Family Counseling program. He received the masters and doctorate degrees in psychology and counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Boudreaux is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. His primary teaching assignments are in the graduate practicum and clinical programs.
