LELAND SPEED LIBRARY
INTERLIBRARY LOAN
This service is available only to Mississippi College faculty
and staff whose browsers support submission of forms.
For other faculty, staff, and currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate
students, paper forms are available at the Library's Circulation Desk.
Speed Library processes ILL requests within 24 hours of receipt, except on
weekends and holidays. The length of time before requested items are
received varies from one to three weeks according to the response time of
the lending library. To avoid delays please check
MICAL to see if
Speed Library owns the needed item before submitting an Interlibrary Loan
request.
Many libraries in the state and region have reciprocal agreements
concerning charges and no fees are charged. Some libraries, however, do
charge loan fees and these will be passed on to the patron. The library
staff makes every effort to meet deadlines, but if the item arrives after
that date, the patron is still responsible for any charges.

| Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code)
governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted
material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and
archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction.
One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction
is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship,
or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or
reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable
for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse
to accept a copying order if, in its judgement, fulfillment of the order
would involve violation of copyright law.
