Chemical Abstracts  (Available through Chemistry Department Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society (ACS) produces the world’s largest and most comprehensive databases of chemical information, chemical abstracts, and associated databases.  Collectively, the CAS databases include more than 19 million abstracts of chemistry and chemistry-related literature and patents and more than 26 million substance records.  It covers all areas of chemistry and related disciplines from 1907 to the present. 
Oxford Reference Online Premium (Oxford Press)
Provides easily searchable, full text access to reference titles.

General or Related Databases
Academic Search Premier (Available through Ebscohost)   
Multidisciplinary  database offering indexing and abstracting and many full text articles.
Dates   of coverage vary according to individual titles.
Academic Universe (Available through Lexis Nexis)
Multidisciplinary database with full text articles.  Sources in LEXIS-Nexis Academic include newspapers, general magazines and journals, medical information, news
transcripts, federal and state legal codes and information, business information  including patents.  Dates of coverage vary according to title.
FirstSearch (
See Reference Librarian to access.)
Offers access to a number of general and subject specific databases.  A Reference Librarian can help determine the need to use FirstSearch and provide training and authorization for searches.

A quick fact-finding database searchable by chemical name, molecular formula, molecular weight, CAS registry number, and chemical structure.  A list of the sites indexed, a glossary of terms used and answers to frequently asked questions are included.
ChemGuide
A powerful search engine that enables users to carry out full text searching on more than 1 million English and German Web pages on more than 1,000 chemistry Web servers worldwide. This is a product of Fiz Chemie of Berlin. There is free access to all the abstract records through ChemWeb.
Chemie.de Information Service
Chemie.de is a collection of chemistry resources in two languages, German and English. 
Chemistry Index
A rich collection of chemistry and related sites from online journals, software, to chemistry teaching and learning aids, chemicals, safety, magnetic resonance-NMR, physical constants chemists’ address/phone book, and e-mail. The site features both English and German languages. The department of biology, chemistry, and pharmacy of the Institute of Chemistry Freie Universität of Berlin prepared and maintains this index.
