(Available through Ebscohost)  Communication & Mass Media Complete provides the most robust, quality research solution in areas related to communication and mass media. This database originated with the acquisition and subsequent merging of two popular databases in the fields of communication and mass media studies -- CommSearch (formerly produced by the National Communication Association (NCA)), and Mass Media Articles Index (formerly produced by Pennsylvania State University). Communication & Mass Media Complete provides an invaluable resource for students, researchers, and educators interested in any and all aspects of communication and mass media.

American Communication Association
The American Communication Association is the national professional organization of scholars, students, and practitioners in the field of communication studies. This site provides information about the ACA, a collection of materials on communication law and First Amendment issues, resources for teaching and research in communication studies, and an extensive reference resource page for scholars and activists.
CMC Information Sources

From the University of Iowa comes a massive and extensive site of journalism and communication sources arranged by subject. Very complete and comprehensive.

The Poynter Institute for media Studies.  Probably the best organized of the corporate sites.  Nice simple layout for finding different aspects of journalism.
Mass Communication and Society
An excellent site for many aspects concerning mass commuication.

Television News Archive
An index to and source for the world’s most extensive collection of network television news.
Pew Research Center for the People & the Press
This site presents both survey results on public attention to major news stories and opinion on political and social values.
 
Supreme Court Collection [Cornell University]
Supreme Court decisions since May, 1990 and searchable topical index featuring Historic Supreme Court decisions.
NSPA/ACP Student Media Sourcebook
Produced by the National Scholastic Press Association and Associated Collegiate Press.  This site is aimed at university, college, and high school newspapers and press people.  Very useful sites for all aspects of mass media and publishing-related sites.
Communication [Purdue University]
Access to many federal government publications including Congressional Record, Federal Register, the Federal Budget, the Constitution, Economic Indicators, the Historical History of Bills (1983-96), Supreme Court Decisions (1937-75), the United States Code, and the Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents.
Cybercollege Television Production

This television production site is unique in that it is a comprehensive course offered at no cost to the user.

Legislative information on the web.  Government site offering bill text, summary and status, historical documents, text of The Congressional Record, all in a searchable format.  Coverage includes the 105th and 104th Congress.
FCC site
Lists links to all of the FCC's business.  Also listed is the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
