Agency Description: Gateway Rescue Mission is a Jackson Metro rescue mission. It provides church services, meals, shelter, and counseling to individuals. It also conducts and active family assistance program and addiction recovery program. A large and popular clothing closet and thrift store is also run by Gateway.
Volunteer Description: Gateway offers volunteer opportunities through serving meals (preparing food, serving, and clean-up), family assistance food pantry (preparing food bags, helping take food bags to recipient’s car), cleaning and painting projects (cleaning floors, walls, doors, etc.), sorting donations (sorting food, clothing and furniture), food and clothing drives (barrels placed at your facility or groups can collect from family, church, or door to door), chapel services (7:00-8:00 a.m. and p.m.)
