Agency Description: Sta-Home Hospice cares for the terminally ill patient in their home. They provide physical, emotional and spiritual well being. When the primary care giver (usually someone a loved on who resides in the home) needs to leave the home for some reason, a volunteer is assigned to stay with the patient, usually for a couple of hours at a time. Also, volunteers are used when a care giver become stressed and burned out from continuous care giving and simply needs a break.
Days and Times Volunteers Needed:
Upon admission to our services a volunteer assessment is done.
This assessment will let team members know of families needs and desires.
Families are asked to give at least two days noticed when requesting a
volunteer.
