2) Wed, Sept 4 – finish reading chapter one in the methods book; read p. 29-31and the Equity Principle in the Standards

                            book; bring your teacher ed notebook to class on Monday

3) Mon., Sept 8 – read and outline the problem solving standard for the 6-8 and 9-12 bands; outline the Equity Principle;

                             do activity 1.4 in the methods book

4) Wed., Sept 10 – make a tri-bond game of 10 cards; find the diagonal properties of quadrilaterals; article due next time

5) Mon., Sept 15 – read first half of Chapter 6, write a “letter to the parents, ” read the “football” article and be ready to

                               discuss it.

6) Wed., Sept 17 – finish reading chapter 6, work the two patterns worksheet and “get the cat out of the well”

7) Mon., Sept 22 – activity 6.4 in chapter 6, outline numbers & operations standard, read first half of chapter 2,

                               find the three patterns from the overhead

8) Wed., Sept 24 – finish reading chapter 2 and read first half of chapter 3, outline the algebra standard, write

                               a set of classroom rules for your future classroom, practice integer chips

9) Mon., Sept 30 – finish reading chapter 3, write proofs for  a) neg x neg = pos  and b) even + even = even,

                               read and outline the teaching principle

10) Wed., Oct 1 – water in a bucket worksheet; read half of chapter 5; find an internet activity for teaching fractions

                              outline the learning principle; email your assigned teacher at Clinton Jr. High

11) Mon., Oct 6 – finish reading chapter 5; get your topic/book/grade for your unit; start working on your mini lesson
