Special requirements: Research-based projectAll students are required to complete and defend a research-based project as an exit requirement. Topics and format will be developed with your faculty advisor. Problem based learningMost courses will include a problem-based project that will be completed individually and/or with a group formed within each class. This project will be an action-based project where each student or team of student investigates a real world issue, problem or situation. The solution to this problem or a recommendation for the solution to an issue or situation must be proposed. The solution requires both an oral presentation and a written report to the class. Professional Journal CritiquesMost classes will require each student to read, summarize and critique a number of articles from professional journals that would address the class topics. This requirement will be outline in the syllabus of each class. Field Experience PortfolioAll students are required to complete two hundred and ten (210) hours of field experiences. These experiences will include a number of required experiences and other experiences that have been approved by their instructors or advisor. These experiences will be turned in as a part of the exit requirement.
