Amy Boone graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Mississippi College in 1996.  She completed her Ph.D. in Computational Biochemistry at the University of Florida in 2001. She also got married in November 2001 to Mike Peterson. Amy is currently doing post doctoral work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and at Duke University (a joint appointment) with an NIH fellowship. Mike and Amy recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Elizabeth G. Peterson.
