Ashley Ringer

Ashley Ringer graduated with an ACS-certified B.S. in Chemistry from Mississippi College in May, 2004. While in the CCG, Ashley's research focused on the computation of conventional strain energy and how it relates to the gem-dimethyl effect. In November 2002, Ashley and fellow CCG member, Patricia Honea, were awarded 1st place in Undergraduate Research at the 11th Annual Conference on Current Trends in Computational Chemistry.  In February 2003, she received 1st place in the Physical/Inorganic category at the 23rd Annual University of Memphis Undergraduate Research Conference.  During her senior year Ashley served as President of the SAACS at MC.  She was a participant in the 2002 London Semester Program and taught ACT and  MCAT preparation classes for the Kaplan Corporation. She is currently a first-year graduate student and Presidential Fellow at Georgia Tech in Atlanta where she is pursuing her Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry with Dr. David Sherrill.
