Jeanann Lovell graduated with an ACS-certified B.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in
Mathematics from Mississippi College in May, 2004. While in the CCG, Jeanann's research focused on the
computation of conformational energetics of naphthylquinoline derivatives. In February 2004, she received
1st place in the Organic/Biochemistry category at the 24th Annual University of Memphis Undergraduate
Research Conference for this work. While at MC, Jeanann served as the Treasurer of SAACS and as a member
of Nenamosha Social Tribe. In 2002, she participated in the London Semester Program and backpacked
through Europe for three weeks at the end of the semester with fellow CCG member, Patsy Honea. She is
currently a first year medical student at the University of Mississippi Medical School in Jackson,
Mississippi, where she is pursuing both an M.D. and a Ph.D. degree. Last fall she got engaged to
Brad Suggs who also double majored at M.C. Brad's degrees are in Chemistry and Biology. Jeanann and
Brad plan to be married this coming June 11th at First Baptist Church in Clinton. In the fall, Brad
will also be entering medical school.
