Patricia Honea graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from
Mississippi College in May, 2004. While in the CCG, Patricia's research focused on the
computation of conventional strain energy in several heterocyclic systems.
In November 2002, Patricia and fellow CCG member, Ashley Ringer, were awarded
1st place in Undergraduate Research at the 11th Annual Conference on Current
Trends in Computational Chemistry. During her senior year Patricia
served as President of the Mississippi College Cap and Gown Chapter of Mortar
Board. She was a participant in the 2002 London Semester Program and was a
long-time member of the MC Senate. She is currently working at Waterways
Experiment Station in Vicksburg, but she will be entering the University of Mississippi
Medical School in the fall. Also, Patricia will soon be sharing a condo with two other
former CCG members, Missy and Karen.
