Mary Nelson Hall Mary Nelson Hall was built in 1954 to provide student housing. When completed, the basement of Mary Nelson housed the Home Economics Department and provided some additional classroom space. The entire building is presently being used as a residence hall for women. The basement was renovated in 1999 to provide a central lobby and study area for the women in East and West Towers and Mary Nelson Residence Halls.
