NOTE: There is only one official graduation date each semester, no matter when the commencement exercise is held. University policy has set the date which coincides with the undergraduate commencement as the official date, and it is considered the date degrees were awarded. This date appears on ALL diplomas. For Fall 2016, the official date is December 16, 2016.
Mississippi College does not distribute diplomas at commencement. Instead, participating students will receive a diploma cover as they cross the stage. Approximately three weeks following graduation, diplomas will be mailed to graduating students by Scrip-Safe, our diploma provider and shipper. Because all diplomas will be mailed, it is imperative that students inform the Office of the Registrar by e-mail (email@example.com) if their diploma mailing address changes after they have submitted their degree application. The deadline for making address changes is December 16, 2016. Due to the Christmas holidays, absolutely no changes can be made after this date.
If you have a balance in the Business Office at the time of graduation, a hold will be placed on your diploma and it will be held until your student account is cleared. It is the responsibility of the graduate to contact the Registrar's Office and make arrangements to receive the diploma when the balance is paid.
