Graduation Checklist
- Your Degree Application form for May 2013 should be on file in the Registrar's Office. In order to participate in the commencement exercise, you must apply no later than Friday, March 29, 2013.
- Order your Graduation Announcements so you can send them prior to graduation.
- Order your class rings so you will have them by the time you graduate (Please call the Alumni Office at 601.925.3252 if you have any questions)
- Leave your senior class gift by contacting your class officers.
- Clear all accounts in the Business Office by May 8, 2013. You will not be able to pick up your cap and gown unless your account is clear.
- Clear all accounts in the Library by May 8, 2013. You will not be able to pick up your cap and gown unless your account is clear.
- Make sure your guests know how to get to MC and arrive early!
- If your guests need handicap parking, make sure they have their State issued handicap plate or placard and come early to ensure up-front parking.
- Take care of local hotel reservations early if your family/guests need them.
- Take care of any needed restaurant reservations appropriate for your commencement exercise needs.
- Tell your guests to arrive early as parking and walking to the stadium will take some additional time because of the anticipated crowds.
- Pick up cap and gown in Moody Adams Field House on May 9 or 10. Please check your commencement letter or the Important Dates & Times page for details. All candidates are required to wear academic regalia. Any questions should be directed to Missa Turman at 601.925.3341.
- Stop by the Alumni/Career Services table and complete an information survey. To speed up the process, complete the survey before you pick up your cap and gown.
