Michael Hataway
Welcome to Mississippi College and the Department of Art. I am beginning my eighth year fulltime at MC. I taught five years at MC as an Adjunct prior to becoming a fulltime instructor in 2004. I am an Alumnus of MC with both an Undergraduate degree in Art Education and a Masters degree. I am excited to serve the university and the students that I get to teach.
About Me
I was born in Louisville, Mississippi and moved to Jackson, Mississippi when I was 18 months old. My wife Susan and I reside in Hinds County west of Raymond, Mississippi. I have four sons, Rob, Reagan, Cameron and Tabb. I now have a Granddaughter that I love named Maggie. I am a member of Hinds Independent Methodist Church close to my home in the Raymond area.
I presently serve as the Assistant Chair of the Department of Art and the Coordinator of the Graphic Design Program. I teach several of the Graphic Design classes with the assistance of Adjunct teachers. In the summer, I often teach Art courses both on the Undergraduate and Graduate level.
