About Me
After 25 years in the service arena, at various levels of practice and management, I have been at Mississippi College since 1996. My Master's degree is in Nursing Administration. I earned my doctorate in Nursing Science from LSU in New Orleans with a focus in Nursing Education and Administration.
Honors & memberships:
I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society as well as several other professional organizations. Currently, I am president of our local chapter of Sigma Theta Tau.
Family:
My husband of almost 40 years, Nathan, and I reside in Clinton where we are members of First Baptist Church of Clinton. I'm the proud mother of two adult children; daughter Bethany, and son Nate. We are also 'pet parents' to our two teacup poodles--Chloe and Zoe--who fill our empty nest and to whom we are totally devoted.
Interests:
I'm an avid flower gardener; I love roses and anything that blooms, has unusual foliage or texture. I feel a deep spiritual connection in my garden. My other passion is traveling to new and favorite places with Nathan. I enjoy cooking and reading and (when my hands cooperate) needlework. I love learning new things and am the textbook example of a life-long student.
