Scholarships
The scholarship deadline for the 2012-13 academic year is July 31, 2012!
This scholarship is available for international students who are classified as sophomores, juniors, or seniors in their academic program at Mississippi College. Students may apply through the Office of Global Education only, and awards are given based on evaluation of GPA, involvement and leadership activities, and a short personal essay. Evaluation will be made by the International Student Scholarship Committee.
Application Instructions
The deadline to turn in your Undergraduate Scholarship Application for the 2010-2011 academic year has expired. The deadline to submit scholarship applications for the 2011-2012 acadmic year is July 31, 2011. Applications turned in after the deadline of July 31, 2011, will not be considered. Incomplete scholarship applications will also not be considered. If you do not turn in an application, you will not receive a scholarship. Please return your scholarship application to this address:

The applicant must complete the application form completely and honestly. Examples of involvement and leadership activities are as follows:
Involvement includes but is not limited to:
- Performances on and off campus
- Being a member of an on-campus academic club (such as Beta Beta Beta)
- Involvement with on-campus societies (such as Nenamoosha)
- Writing published articles for on-campus newspaper or newsletter
- Participating and performing in the International Festival
- Participating in the Celebration of Culture
- Study abroad
- Participating in athletic competitions
Leadership includes but is not limited to:
- Volunteering time for conversation partners, helping with International Center festivals and parties, helping the International Center with new students at the start of a new semester
- Being an officer for an on-campus academic club (such as Beta Beta Beta)
- Being a leader for an on-campus society (such as Nenamoosha)
- Being on the Tribesman (yearbook) staff
- Being on the Arrowhead (arts publication) staff
- Being on the Collegian (on-campus newspaper) staff
- Being a research assistant for a professor
- Presenting research at a forum
- Winning certificates of honor or prizes for accomplishments in academics, athletics, or extra-curricular accomplishments
Any other activities that the applicant feels should be included and could contribute to the evaluation of the application should be clearly listed.
