Hereinafter appears the revised Constitution of the Alumni Association of the Mississippi College School of Law/Jackson School of Law. After appropriate notice to members, this Constitution was adopted by vote of the membership of the Alumni Association at its annual meeting in July, 2004 during the Mississippi Bar Convention in San Destin Florida. Two amendments suggested from the floor were approved and included in the final version of the constitution that was adopted.
One of the major revisions reflects the concept of two levels of membership in the Association. While all graduates are automatically voting members of the Association, created was a category of "sustaining membership" for which addition benefits are available. This category of "sustaining membership" may require the payment of dues.
All members of the Alumni Association are encouraged to become sustaining members and take an active role in the Alumni Association!
