Professor Angela Mae Kupenda makes presentation, connecting family law and race in American, in Montreal, Canada, in May, and has related work reprinted in text and has another accepted for publication.

Professor Angela Maw Kupenda made a presentation entitled, Learning from Family Law and Domestic Violence Literature to Address America's Family-like Race Dysfunction, at the Law and Society Association and the L'Association Canadienne Droit et Societe, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, May 29 - June 1, 2008.

Kupenda's presentation was based on a work in progress that has already been accepted for publication in the Journal of Law & Public Policy at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, for a special issue on family law to be published in April 2009.

One of Kupenda's related articles, published by the Howard Law Journal in 1998, on how addressing domestic violence is complicated by racial matters was reprinted in a major domestic violence casebook, Domestic Violence Law by Nancy K.D. Lemon, and published by West Publishing.
