
Happy Birthday, Justice Thurgood Marshall
The MCSOL Law Review will host a February 21, 2008 symposium at the Telecom Center in Jackson, Mississippi, honoring Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall's 100th birthday. The keynote speaker will be Juan Williams, a senior correspondent with National Public Radio and author of the critically claimed biography Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary.
The symposium will focus on Marshall's impact on government and legal issues. Event highlights will include a panel discussion featuring Williams and local attorneys, paper presentations by professors from several law schools, and a luncheon during which Williams will deliver the keynote address.
Portions of the symposium will be open to the public and will fulfill CLE requirements. Tickets for the luncheon are available through the MCSOL Law Review office. MCSOL is also seeking sponsors for the event.
