On Oct. 29, Mississippi College School of Law's Law Student Bar Association placed 2nd in Trustmark's Red Beans and Rice Festival. The festival raises money for Stewpot.
Each year, for the past three years, the LSBA makes a $1,000 donation to Stew Pot and runs a booth at the Festival. This is the first year that the school has placed in the cooking competition. This event was organized by Shanda Yates Johnson. Other students, including Zelma Murray, Brennan Chapman and Trey Lamar, as well as family members and friends participated.
