GroupWise Client Connection Instructions

The following instructions are bassed on Windows XP. After the client has installed successfully, it will place a link to GroupWise on your desktop. Right-click on the icon and choose properties. There will be a blank that says Target:. In this blank, it will have c:\Novell\GroupWise\grpwise.exe . You will need to add a space and the following information to the end of this line.

/ipa-{post_office_address} /@u-{username}

Post office address information for users: Clinton Fac/Staff: postal.mc.edu Law Fac/Staff: lex.mc.edu Students: mailman.mc.edu

Example: Support is a Staff user on the Clinton Campus. For this user, this is what I would add to the end of the line: /ipa-postal.mc.edu /@u-support

Once you have added this information, Click OK to save the information. When you click on the icon, it will know what post office to search and what user to use. It should only prompt you for your GroupWise password.
