FTP Instructions for Students
(2008-2009)
Before Beginning: If you don't have a web directory already created on the server MRWEB, then you need to request one at the
MCnet Account Administration page. You will not be able to upload web pages until you have a web directory!!
Any FTP software can be used for uploading and downloading to your web directory on MC's web server. However, WinSCP is the FTP software that is used in MC's computer labs. The software is free
and available at web sites such as http://www.download.com/. Once you have the software installed on your computer, follow these instructions for
uploading/downloading your web pages.
- Start WinSCP
- Make sure the following settings are used:
- Host Name: MRWEB.MC.EDU
