Barron's Top 1,000 Advisors Lists Two MC Business Graduates

Two Mississippi College School of Business graduates were recently spotlighted in Barron's "Top 1,000 Advisors" for 2010.

Getting mentioned in the internationally recognized business publication is a huge honor for the MC grads. They are among five listed from the Magnolia State.

Barron's evaluates financial advisors in terms of their strengths in management, quality of service and regulatory research. There are 1,000 advisors included in all 50 states.

Arthur Finkelberg of Wells Fargo Advisors in Ridgeland is one of the two MC graduates getting honored. He received a master's in business administration from Mississippi College in 1979. The Mississippian manages $252 million in assets, Barron's reports.

Michael Dowell, an advisor with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Jackson, is the other MC graduate recognized. He received a bachelor's degree on the Clinton campus in 1972. Dowell manages $942 million in assets.

MC School of Business Dean Marcelo Eduardo is delighted to see Barron's shine the national spotlight on two superb MC graduates.

"We are proud of these two alumni and their outstanding accomplishments in the financial industry," Eduardo said. "It is a tremendous honor to be named to the Barron's list and these MC business graduates are both deserving of this recognition."

Everybody at MC's business school wants to congratulate Finkelberg and Dowell, the dean added.
