Faculty & Staff to Gather for Annual Convocation
Mississippi College leaders will welcome scores of new faculty and staff members at annual convocation ceremonies Friday, Aug. 17, on the Clinton campus.
MC Vice President for Academic affairs Ron Howard will introduce new faculty and staff at the program at Swor Auditorium beginning at 10 a.m. President Lee Royce will address the group at the program to launch MC's 182nd academic year.
It's a year that promises to see record enrollments again. There were a record 4,162 MC students last fall and that's expected to grow by 7 percent.
John McCall, retired professor of Christian Studies and director of church relations, will offer the benediction to close the program followed by lunch at noon for faculty and staff in Anderson Hall of the B.C. Rogers Student Center.
New additions to the MC family since January 2007 include about 50 faculty and staff members.
