Gore Galleries Welcome MC Art Shows

Art work crafted by 15 Mississippi College seniors will be on display at the Gore Galleries this spring.

It's the 11th annual show that MC art department chairman Randy Miley is associated with and he's quite impressed. Miley and Gore galleries Director Randy Jolly are co-sponsors of the exhibit from March 31 through May 7at the Spaugh Gallery.

The exhibit is one of the graduation requirements for the students, Miley says.

Seniors Jessica Millis of Brandon, Jeremy Moffett of Vicksburg, Megan Venture of New Orleans and Robert Gatewood of Clinton will be among the students with their art pieces on display.

The Samuel M. Gore Art Galleries is located at 199 Monroe Street. The graduating seniors taking part in the show will be honored at a reception and presented with awards.

The Spaugh Gallery continues to feature the works of award-winning professor Kenneth Quinn of Jackson through Feb. 12. An MC graduate, Quinn has taught for years at Mississippi College and with the Jackson Public Schools. An MC graduate show from Feb. 17 through March 26 will come next.
