Ireland and England Trip Continues Sign-Ups

It's not too late for folks in Clinton and other metro Jackson communities to sign up for a Mississippi College spring trip to Ireland and England.

There's a limit of 32 people on the March 11-21, 2010 overseas journey led by MC professors Bonnie Blu Williams and Debbie Norris.

But Williams said Thursday that several slots remain available. It is open to MC faculty, staff students and other members of the university community, she said. It is open to the general public.

William is a music professor on the MC campus. Norris is the graduate dean and vice president for planning and assessment. Both are veteran overseas travelers.

The journey will take travelers to Ireland's castles, ancient monuments, the country's wonderful music and a visit to Trinity College. It's part of a seven-day trip to Ireland and two-day stay in London. Stops in England include the Tower of London with its crown jewels and the British Museum.

Students may take courses tied to the trip for college credit.

MC travelers signing up must pay a $300 deposit plus a first installment. For more information, contact Bonnie Blu Williams at 601.925.3443 or bwilliam@mc.edu.
