MC Alumni Meetings Scheduled this Fall


Mississippi College President Lee Royce goes on the road in October to meet with MC alumni leaders at informal gatherings in Northwest Florida and Starkville.

The first event is set for Thursday Oct. 16 with a dinner at the First Baptist Church in Niceville, Fla. It is the first alumni gathering in Northwest Florida in several years. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Vice President for Advancement Bill Townsend and Ross Aven, the alumni affairs director, will join the time of food and fellowship in Florida. The charge is $10 per person.

Next stop is the Golden Triangle on Tuesday Oct. 21 with retired MC administrator Doc Quick of Clinton joining Royce on the trip. The group will meet at Harvey's restaurant on Highway 12 East in Starkville. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Entrees at the restaurant start at $10.

Royce will provide alums with an update on the Christian university's $65 million "Growing the Vision'' campaign, new academic programs, athletics and much more.
