MC Career Services Helps Hire Student Workers

Mississippi College\'s Office of Career Services is making it easier for departments to hire student workers.

The first step is for MC faculty and staff to let the office in Nelson Hall know what qualifications you are seeking for student workers.

To do that, contact MC Career Services and Retention Director Karen Lindsey-Lloyd at 925.3901 or lloyd@mc.edu or assistant director Hayley Taff. Hayley can be reached at 925.7717 or taff@mc.edu.

Another approach is to complete the online form at http://www.mc.edu/career/facultystaff/worker.

The Office of Career Services will do a little screening and connect you with students that meet your qualifications.

The next step is to select one or more students that apply directly to you. Following that, complete the student worker employment forms (now located on the M drive under Human Resources). Questions about the forms should go to Gena McBrain at 925.3314.

The Office of Career Services at Mississippi College is also busy this summer preparing to sponsor a part-time job fair on Sept. 2 in the B.C. Rogers Student Center. The event will bring together MC students and area employers for interview sessions. The meetings on the Clinton campus run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
