MC Music Professor Performs Piano Recital

Mississippi College music professor Angela Willoughby, the organist at First Baptist Church in Clinton, will give a recital Monday Feb. 2 on the MC campus.

The immediate past president of the Mississippi Music Teachers Association, Willoughby will perform at 8 p.m. in the Jean Pittman Williams Recital Hall. The recital includes a performance with the Mississippi Symphony String Quartet of the Op 1 Piano Quintet of Ernst von Dohnanyi. She will give a second lecture/recital on March 3 as the second part of the series.

The MC professor teaches applied piano, related courses and graduate music history classes. Willoughby recently completed a sabbatical study at Florida State University and Monday's recital is a partial culmination of her research.
