Mississippi College Expands Into Flowood

Mississippi College will open a satellite campus in Flowood and begin classes Aug. 23 at the new location in Rankin County.

The home of its Accelerated Degree Programs, the Flowood site will replace MC's satellite campuses in Brandon and Madison.

MC is renovating a building adjacent to the Flowood Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center on Lakeland Drive at 115 Laurel Park Cove. The Flowood building has eight classrooms and will offer live classes by video and audio.

MC will offer more than 30 classes in Flowood with graduate level and continuing education courses planned later.

Targeting working adults, the ADP classes allow students to earn degrees in business administration, accounting, marketing, public relations and sociology. Courses are offered in eight-week sessions that meet two nights per week. ADP registration is Aug. 19 for the classes beginning Aug. 23.

With the Flowood office to open near the busy Dogwood Festival mall, MC will close its satellite locations at 309 South College Street in Brandon and its center at Broadmoor Baptist Church on Highland Colony Parkway in Madison.
