The Office of Public Relations has oversight of policies regarding a variety of media-related topics, including filming and photography on campus and use of the university name, seal, and logos.
Film, Photography, and Video Requests
Mississippi College is a private university. Mississippi College’s permission is required for any filming or photography by professional, commercial or news photographers or filmmakers or by other campus visitors taking pictures or filming for commercial purposes on Mississippi College’s property.
Except for photography in connection with weddings at Provine Chapel, all wedding parties and/or photographers of wedding parties must request permission to take photographs in writing at least five business days in advance.
Mississippi College will consider requests for journalistic, news-related, non-commercial shooting, but reserves the right to deny permission for any reason.
Sports Event Photography
Requests to film or photograph sports events on Mississippi College’s campus should be directed to Mississippi College's Sports Information Director. For further information please visit the Sports Information site.
Requests for Permission to Film or take Photographs other than at Sports Event
Non-news related requests should be made in writing at least five business days in advance by emailing Tracey Harrison, director of public relations, at email@example.com.
Location releases, if necessary, must be submitted for review by the university in advance.
