Web Content Audit Instructions
Login to the section(s) of the website that you are responsible for by adding the word "login" to the end of your section's URL. For example, if you were responsible for auditing this section of the website you would go to http://www.mc.edu/offices/public-relations/login. When the log in screen appears, use your MC username and password to gain access.
Once logged in, you'll notice a red bar across the bottom of the screen. On the left side of the bar is a list of all of the pages within each section of the website. Each page has either an "x" or a check mark beside it denoting whether it has been audited or not.
Check each page to make sure that the content is accurate, there are no grammar or spelling mistakes, and that all of the links on the page are working properly. Once you do this, click the boxes next to its respective category showing that the audit has been completed. Once all of the boxes are marked, the bar will turn green, and a check mark will appear next to the page title in the drop down menu on the left side.
If any corrections need to be made, use the "comments" button to explain the corrections. If links need to be fixed, please provide the correct URL for the link in the comments section.
Once all of the pages have been audited and a check mark is displayed next to the page name, you are finished, and a message will appear to let you know that you have completed the audit.
