Scholarships range from $1000 to $3800, these scholarships are made payable on behalf of the student.

The National Scholars Honor Society grants scholarships to highly qualified achievers from all academic pursuits. Scholarship eligibility is determined for each new applicant at the time of acceptance, and is reviewed biannually. It is the reponsibility of each member to update their file on an annual basis to remain in the scholarship eligibility pool. Member informations updates may be submitted at any time via e-mail or standard mail. Scholarships are funded by private grants and membership fees. State and Federal funds are not used to support the scholarship program. Description:
If you are a secondary school teacher of social studies or American history or planning to become one, you may be eligible to apply for a graduate fellowship program that emphasizes the study of the U S Constitution and offers up to $24,000. Fellows may attend any accredited insitution of higher education in the U. S. for either a Master of Arts (MA); a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) or a Master of Education w/an emphsis on American history, government, or political science.

Two levels of fellowships are offered:

Senior Fellowships, awarded to teachers who want to pursue graduate studies on a part-time basis through summer and evening classes.
After earning the master's degree, a James Madison Fellow is required to teach American history, American government, or social studies in grades 7-12 for one year per each full academic year of study under the fellowship.

Applicants to the Talbots Women's Scholarship Fund must-
Be women currently residing in the United States;
Be women who have earned a high school diploma or their
GED on or before September 1994;
Be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full- or part-
time undergraduate course of study at an accredited 2-
or 4- year college or university;
Be attending the full 2004-05 academic year and receiving
a degree no earlier than May 2005; and
Have at least two semesters (or a minimum of 24 credit
hours) remaining to complete their undergraduate degree
as of the beginning of the 2004 fall academic term.
