CAB is a student organization responsible for planning various events throughout the year for the Mississippi College campus. The goal of CAB is to engage students, provide unique and diverse entertainment for the student body, and to promote campus involvement in many different areas. MC is an amazing place with a diverse population and one of CAB’s goals is to highlight different areas of campus, while also creating events that reach all different kinds of students.

Getting Involved- Becoming a Cabbie!
CAB is comprised of approximately 25 students and one CAB chairperson. The chairperson is elected by the students the year before through SGA elections. The rest of CAB goes through an application and interview process led by the Assistant Director of Student Life for Student Activities, the CAB chairperson, and current Cabbies. There are two times throughout the year when applications for CAB are accepted, once in the fall (freshmen and transfers only), and once in the spring (anyone can apply). Keep your eyes open for more information as applications become available near the beginning of each semester.
Each year CAB creates new and exciting events, but there are a few events that are so good that they have become traditional.
Choctaw Fest is MC’s annual fall concert. Each year CAB showcases a couple of different artists that are on the rise. The event is always coupled with food and drink, and takes place outside in The Bowl as we hold on to the end of the fall season.
Lighting of the Quad
Lighting of the Quad has become an annual post Thanksgiving event as we celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. The event changes a little every year, but you can always count on hot chocolate, candy canes, and plenty of Christmas lights.
Miss Mississippi College Pageant
The Miss MC pageant takes place at the beginning of second semester. The competition calls for any and all female Mississippi College students interested in being a part of the pageant. The pageant showcases each student in a number of areas with the winner going on to compete in the Miss Mississippi Pageant that summer. Interest meetings for contestants are held towards the end of the first semester.
Cram Jam takes place at the end of every semester in the cafeteria where students can enjoy some late night breakfast food, lots of candy, and various video games to unwind a little before exams.
Spring Fever Week
Spring Fever Week is a week of events during the spring semester. Many of the events change each year, but the week kicks off with a crawfish boil and includes a variety of events that end the year with bang.
