Chrestman Hall was completed in 1926. It was built to provide student housing. It was used as a men's residence hall until 1996 when it was refurbished to house women. In 2004, Chrestman returned to a residence hall for male students.

Each room contains:

• Two Twin Beds (can be made into bunk beds)
• Two Desks with chairs
• Two Dressers
• Two Closets
• Local Telephone Service (Long distance service is available at a reasonable cost. Call 601.925.3359 for more information.)
• PhoneMail for each resident (No need for answering machines!)
• Cable TV
• At least one window
• Bathrooms facilities are community shared.

• Laundry Rooms
• Guest Rooms (For parents and family only...no student use! Call 601.925.3209 to make arrangements.)

Room Measurements:

• Carpet - approximately 12' x 14'
  All residence halls have tile floors which are easy to keep clean. However, many students choose to bring carpet to give the room a homey appearance and warm up the floor.
• Blinds - inside window measurements: 42" x 79"
  All residence halls are equipped with mini-blinds. Some students choose to put up curtains, too. Tension rods are the only acceptable way to hang curtains.
• Beds - 80" in length
• Walls - Cork strips have been installed to hang posters, etc. Nothing should be attached to the walls other than the cork strips.
