RATLIFF HALL
(Men's Residence)

Ratliff Hall

Ratliff Hall was built in 1914 to provide student housing. It was originally built as a self-help building for students who did most of the maintenance of the building. In 1954 two wings were added and the center portion was completely renovated in 1967. It has been remodeled recently and used as a men's dormitory.

Each room contains:

  • Two Twin Beds (can be made into bunk beds)
  • Two Desks with chairs
  • Two Dressers
  • Two Closets
  • Local Telephone Service (Long distance service is available at a reasonable cost. Call 601.925.3209 for more information.)
  • PhoneMail for each resident (No need for answering machines!)
  • Cable TV
  • One window
  • Bathrooms facilities are community shared.
  • Sink in each room

Additional Amenities:

  • Central Lobby
  • Vending Machines

  • Carpet - approximately 11' x 13'
All residence halls have tile floors which are easy to keep clean. However, many students choose to bring carpet to give the room a homey appearance and warm up the floor.
  • Blinds - mini-blinds provided
  • Beds - 80" in length
  • Walls - Cork strips have been installed to hang posters, etc. Nothing should be attached to the walls other than the cork strips.
