STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM

Hong Kong Baptist University

Hong Kong FlagHong Kong Baptist University, founded in 1956, is a public tertiary institution with a Christian heritage offering a broad range of undergraduate degree courses as well as postgraduate degree courses both by course work and research.

The International Student Exchange program at Hong Kong Baptist University serves to enhance internationalization of both local and visiting students. Interaction with students of different cultures and backgrounds both enriches and enlarges an international perspective and assists in developing a genuine global outlook among all students both in and out of the classroom.

Housing

Housing is currently provided for participating students on Hong Kong Baptist University campus in the BTT International House. The international student housed in the NTT International House on campus will share a room with a local Hong Kong Baptist University student of the same sex.

With such an arrangement, cultural exchange, language enhancement, and a broadened global perspective will be maximized which will give students the edge in international relations.

Academics

The three faculties and two schools of the University, viz. the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the School of Business and the School of Communication, comprise twenty-five academic departments.

There are 2 courses that are specifically designed for International Students.

  • Understanding Chinese Culture introduces students to the study of Chinese history, culture, and language developments from ancient times to the present.
  • Religious and Philosophical Chinese-English Encounters offers an investigation into specific "Sino-Western" encounters and their representative English language texts
