FRIERSON FIELD

Serving as the home for Mississippi College since 1977 has been Frierson Field, named in honor of long-time MC benefactor Pete Frierson. With a seating capacity of 1,500 and a host of modern features, Frierson Field is one of the finest collegiate softball facilities among small colleges. Prior to the 2000 season, Frierson Field received a facelift with improvements in many areas. The entire playing surface was replaced, and a new warning track that encircles the field was constructed. Other additions included the installation of a new irrigation system, a modern net back stop and extensions to the centerfield fence. Both dugouts were also expanded to include new benches and helmet and bat racks.
